About Studio Maren
We believe a home should be edited, not decorated. Every room starts with how you actually live — the light you wake up to, the chair you always end up in — and ends somewhere that feels unmistakably yours.
Founded in Lisbon in 2014, Studio Maren is a team of six interior architects and designers. We take on a small number of projects each season so every client works directly with a senior designer — from the first call to the day we hand over the keys.

01 Week 1
Discovery call
A free 20-minute call to understand your space, your budget and the way you actually live. No pitch — just honest advice on which service fits.

02 Weeks 2–3
Concept
Moodboards, a palette and a spatial plan. You see the direction before anything is ordered, and we refine it together until it feels right.

03 Weeks 4–8
Design development
Detailed drawings, 3D views and every finish specified — from the tile grout to the door handles — so nothing is left to guesswork on site.

04 Months 2–6
Sourcing & build
We order at trade prices, manage contractors and walk the site weekly. You get one message every Friday with progress photos.

05 Final week
Installation day
We style every shelf, make every bed and hang every picture. You come home to a finished room — flowers included.

Do you work outside Lisbon?
Yes. Full-service projects run across Portugal and selected cities in Europe. E-Design is fully remote, so we work with clients anywhere in the world.
What budget do I need for a full renovation?
Most full-service projects sit between $60,000 and $250,000 including furniture and build costs. On the discovery call we will tell you honestly what your budget can achieve.
Can you work with furniture I already own?
Always. Pieces you love give a room its history. We will build the design around them and suggest which ones to restore, reupholster or move to another room.
How long does an E-Design take?
Three to four weeks from your questionnaire to the final delivery, including two rounds of revisions. Bigger homes can be phased room by room.
Do I get trade pricing on furniture?
Full-service clients receive our trade discounts, typically 10–25% off retail. E-Design clients receive exclusive codes where our suppliers allow it.
What happens on the free discovery call?
Twenty minutes on video. You show us the space, we ask about how you live, and we recommend a service with a realistic budget and timeline. There is no obligation.
